ILDRA is delighted to have been asked to host the 2020 Home International and Celtic Challenge Championships at St.Patrick's Coast Ride on 5th/6th September. This proved to be a very popular and successful venue when Ireland last hosted the event in 2016
We look forward to welcoming both regular riders and visitors from the competing nations' teams to this prestigious competition in the beautiful part of Co.Down where the 'mountains of Mourne sweep down to the sea'.
The venue features 100 stables and great function facilities, the route takes in varied terrain, very little road work, miles of beaches and so so much more - ensuring that we can, again, lay on a weekend to remember.
The event sees teams of 6 riders for Home International from England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland and for the Celtic Challenge from Scotland, Wales, Cornwall and Ireland, coming together for a weekend of friendly Endurance competition. Teams include top level riders as well as Juniors and Novices all competing together - encouraging and developing new and young talent across Endurance Riding.
This page will be updated as the competition draws nearer but we have tried to offer some early information to allow Chefs and teams to commence planning.
The stables will open on the Wed before and close on the Mon after the event. The Vetting, Parade and Opening Ceremony will take place on the Fri with Sat and Sun being competition days. There will be catering available on Fri, Sat and Sun nights for all (tickets and details will be available with entries).

The weekend timetable will be confirmed nearer the time but to allow planning we have announced our provisional arrangements to assist in team planning.
